This precast barrier is made of concrete with RcK > 450 daN/cm² and reinforced with Fe B44K steel, approximately 116 kg of steel per element (with upper connection plate) and 122 kg per element (with included Dywidag bar).
Dimensions: length: 6.20 meters; width: 0.620 meters (base) / 0.136 meters (top); height: 1.00 meter. Weight: approximately 3,600 kg per element. The mutual connection between adjacent elements is made at the base using 2 galvanized steel plates 280x75x10 mm connected by 2 galvanized M24 threaded-end steel bars and 4 M24 nuts. At the top, the connection is either made with 2 galvanized steel plates 280x75x10 mm and 2 M24 threaded-end steel bars with 4 M24 nuts for the element with the upper connection plate, or with a Ø20 Dywidag bar embedded in the concrete and a corresponding compensation sleeve for the element with the Dywidag bar.
This New Jersey barrier model is suitable for use on type III extra urban roads and primary urban roads with medium-light traffic, as well as on motorways with a divider width greater than 2.40 meters.
